Isle of Anglesey County Council

09-Oct-2013

Client: Isle of Anglesey County Council

Date
: April 2012

Location: Anglesey, Wales

Background: The Anglesey Coastal Path is 125 miles of breath taking coastline which is a designated area of outstanding beauty. The coastal path is visited by thousands of tourists each year and Anglesey County Council wanted to install directional fingerposts along the entire route.

Project details: Townscape supplied four metre high Performa-Cast™ Polymer fingerposts which were manufactured to a bespoke heritage design in a variety of colours. The Performa-Cast™ Polymer was selected due to its durability and easy maintenance. Polymer provides a non-ferrous, non-rusting exterior surface and is highly resistant to high saline coastal environments.

Result: The new fingerposts are highly resistant to the elements and virtually maintenance free.  They are an attractive addition to the coastal path and will provide clear guidance to Anglesey’s visitors for years to come.
