Brute Concrete Bollard

The Brute Concrete Bollard earns its name through specification rather than appearance. Cast from Supreme Grade Artisan Precast Concrete by Townscape Products in the UK, its defining feature is an integrated 60mm steel collar built into the construction. That steel collar sets the Brute apart from every other concrete bollard in the range and gives it a structural robustness that goes beyond what concrete alone provides.

The steel collar reinforces the critical zone of the bollard at and below ground level, where impact forces concentrate and where standard concrete construction can be vulnerable under sustained or sudden load. For locations where the bollard may be subject to vehicle contact, deliberate impact or persistent physical pressure, that additional reinforcement is a meaningful structural advantage that contributes directly to the longevity and reliability of the installation.

At 350mm in diameter and weighing 135kg, the Brute has considerable physical presence even before the steel collar is taken into account. The 400mm below-ground fixing depth anchors it securely in the ground, and the combination of concrete mass, wide diameter and steel reinforcement creates an installation that is built to withstand sustained use in demanding public environments.

Standing 570mm above ground, the Brute keeps a relatively low profile for its width and weight. That broad, low character gives it a settled, immovable quality at street level that suits environments where the bollard is working hard to define a boundary or manage access rather than simply acting as a marker.
