The Camden Polymer Bollard is one of the largest and most substantial options in the Townscape Products Performa-Cast range. With a 245mm x 140mm profile and a 1050mm above-ground height, it makes a clear, authoritative statement in any public realm setting and is well suited to locations where the bollard needs to carry genuine visual weight, define a boundary with purpose, or contribute positively to a high-quality streetscape.
That wide diameter and tall height combination makes the Camden particularly appropriate for civic squares, high streets, busy pedestrian precincts and transport environments where the scale of the surroundings demands a bollard with real presence. It is the kind of specification that landscape architects and public realm designers reach for when a slimmer option would simply look undersized in context.
Manufactured in the UK by Townscape Products, the Camden is cast from Performa-Cast polyurethane polymer and benefits from the material's well-established outdoor performance characteristics: no rust, no corrosion, good weathering resistance and a finish that holds up well over time with minimal upkeep.
Two variants are available, selectable when placing an order. The root-fixed standard version weighs 44.9kg and is permanently installed below ground to a depth of 300mm, giving a solid, stable installation for schemes where the bollard position is fixed. The lightweight removable version weighs 30kg, nearly 15kg less than the standard, and uses a below-ground fix shoe to allow the bollard to be lifted out and reinstated when vehicle access is needed. As with the standard version, 300mm of depth is required below ground.
The removable version includes a hinged lid as part of the socket assembly, and the opening orientation must be confirmed at the point of ordering. Specifiers should indicate whether a short side or long side opening is required to ensure the socket is installed in the right orientation for the site.
Both variants are identical above ground, so they can be combined within the same scheme without any visible inconsistency.
