Client: Advanced Military Maintenance Repair Overhaul Centre (AMMROC)

Background:

AMMROC is a high-security military facility based in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, UAE, which specialises in maintenance, repair and operations ensuring aircraft readiness, fleet deployability and safety for many armed forces including the General Headquarters of the UAE Armed Forces.

Brief:

Townscape Products were asked to provide an effective security solution to prevent vehicle-borne attacks.

Given the high profile nature of the facility, our response was to locally manufacture and install 300 PAS 68 bollards and 1,300 PAS 68 Counter Terror HVM Blocks around the perimeter.

Result:

AMMROC’s 4000m perimeter is now guarded with a fully operational Hostile Vehicle Mitigation system to prevent vehicle incursion.

Townscape Products’ regional network of contractors allowed the products to be manufactured in the UAE, ensuring cost-efficiency and avoiding expensive shipping costs for the client whilst maintaining the high standards of Townscape Products and the integrity of the security provided.

Our Insight:

Managing a project of this size and at such a distance from the installation location is a testament to both the team at our headquarters, our field team, and the relationships we have developed and nurtured around the world.
