Wrentham Parish Council
09-Oct-2013

Client: Wrentham Parish Council
Date: June 2012
Location: Wrentham, Suffolk
Background: In preparation for the Olympic Torch relay and to honour the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, Wrentham Parish Council wanted to add colour to the village centre landscape with some commemorative flower-filled planters.
Project details: Wrentham Parish Council commissioned street furniture manufacturer Townscape to create six new planters. Townscape manufactured the new planters out of arctic black and white aggregate and included special black bands with golden lettering.
Result: The commemorative planters are a lasting reminder in the village of the special summer of 2012. To ensure the colourful flower displays continue to thrive, Townscape designed the planters to an ideal depth for roots and to allow both natural and automatic watering.
