The Gateshead Polymer Bollard is one of the most widely used designs in the Townscape Products Performa-Cast range. Its clean, unfussy form has made it a reliable choice for local authorities, landscape architects and public realm managers across the UK, and it is the kind of bollard that sits comfortably in almost any outdoor environment without demanding attention.

Three diameter options are available: 90mm, 127mm and 168mm, selectable when placing an order. All three share the same 900mm above-ground height and 300mm below-ground fixing depth, meaning the choice of diameter is straightforward and does not affect the installation process in any way. What it does affect is the physical presence of the bollard on the ground. The 90mm version, at just 9kg, is the most lightweight and unobtrusive of the three, well suited to footpath delineation, residential settings and locations where a minimal marker is the right call. The 127mm option at 17kg occupies the practical middle ground and suits the broadest range of general public realm applications. The 168mm version, at 26kg, has a noticeably more substantial presence and is the natural choice for busier environments where a bolder perimeter definition is needed.

Manufactured in the UK by Townscape Products, the Gateshead is cast from Performa-Cast polyurethane polymer, which delivers long-term structural performance without the maintenance burden of steel or the installation challenges of concrete. The polymer holds its finish well over time and resists the rust, corrosion and weathering that outdoor street furniture regularly faces.

All three variants are fixed below ground to a depth of 300mm using a standard below-ground fixing method, making them straightforward for site teams to install and consistent across mixed-diameter schemes. Supplied in a standard colour range, with custom finishes available on request and applied in-house by Townscape Products.
