Hexham Traffic Polymer Bollard

The Hexham is a traffic management bollard from Townscape Products' Performa-Cast polymer range, designed specifically for situations where visibility and durability on or near the road are the primary requirements. Its defining feature is a Class 1 reflective red and white band, which meets the visibility standards expected of traffic-facing street furniture and ensures the bollard is clearly seen by drivers in all light conditions, including at night and in poor weather.

Manufactured in the UK by Townscape Products, the Hexham is cast from Performa-Cast polyurethane polymer, a material that holds up well in the kind of exposed, high-wear environments that traffic management applications typically involve. At 16kg and with a 200mm diameter, it strikes a practical balance between being substantial enough to be taken seriously and light enough to handle and install without heavy plant.

Two fixing options are available, selectable when placing an order. The root-fixed version is installed permanently below ground to a depth of 300mm, making it the right choice for static traffic management schemes where the bollard position is not expected to change. The removable version uses a below-ground fix shoe, allowing the bollard to be lifted out and reinstated when temporary access is needed. Both versions share the same above-ground dimensions and appearance, so they can be mixed within the same scheme without any inconsistency in the finished result.

Standing 900mm above ground, the Hexham is a visible, purposeful presence at road and footpath margins, car park entrances, pedestrian crossings and any location where clear delineation between vehicle and pedestrian space is needed. The standard colour is applied in-house by Townscape Products, with custom colours available for projects with specific requirements.
