Manchester Anti Ram Polyurethane Bollard

The Manchester Anti Ram Bollard is a reinforced variant of the Manchester polymer bollard range, designed specifically for locations where resistance to vehicle impact is a priority. Manufactured in the UK by Townscape Products, it uses the same Performa-Cast polymer outer construction as the wider Manchester range but incorporates internal steel reinforcement cores to provide meaningful protection against ram raid attempts.

Two configurations are available, selectable as a product option. The AR2 variant uses 2 internal steel cores, while the AR3 uses 3, providing a higher level of impact resistance. The AR3 has a rating of a one tonne vehicle travelling at 25mph, with all reinforcement sections extending 500mm below ground level. Both variants are fixed below ground to a depth of 500mm, with spigots supplied loose for on-site fixing. Suitable foundations must be provided in all cases where anti-ram units are installed.

The polymer outer shell gives the bollard the appearance of a standard street furniture bollard, which is an important consideration in environments where visible security infrastructure needs to remain unobtrusive. Despite the internal reinforcement, the bollard retains a practical weight and can be handled and installed by a standard site team.

Standing 1000mm above ground with a 230mm diameter, the Manchester Anti Ram suits pedestrianised retail areas, town centre locations, car park entrances, and any site where there is a credible risk of deliberate or opportunistic vehicle incursion. It sits within Townscape Products' broader street furniture and vehicle defence range, which spans from everyday public realm furniture through to PAS 68 certified hostile vehicle mitigation systems.

Finished in a standard colour range as supplied, with bespoke colours available on request. As with all Townscape products, finishes are applied in-house for consistent quality across orders.
