Manchester MK2 Polymer Bollard

The Manchester MK2 is the second-generation version of one of the most widely specified bollards in the Townscape Products Performa-Cast range. It retains the recognisable character of the original Manchester while incorporating refinements that make it a more considered choice for schemes where proportion and visual weight are given careful attention.

At 220mm in diameter and 900mm above ground, the MK2 sits slightly lower and has a marginally narrower profile than the original Manchester. The result is a bollard that feels more grounded and compact in the landscape, with a solid, settled appearance that works particularly well in locations where a broader, lower-profile presence is preferred over a taller, more upright one. At 28kg it has good inherent mass, contributing to a stable, permanent feel once installed.

Manufactured in the UK by Townscape Products, the MK2 is cast from Performa-Cast polyurethane polymer and installed via a below-ground fix to a depth of 300mm. The polymer construction ensures long-term performance in exposed outdoor conditions without rust, corrosion or significant ongoing maintenance.

Two fixing options are available, selectable when placing an order. The root-fixed version provides a permanent below-ground installation suited to static schemes. The removable version uses a below-ground fix shoe, allowing the bollard to be lifted out and reinstated without groundworks when vehicle access is occasionally needed. Both variants share identical above-ground dimensions and appearance, making them straightforward to combine within the same scheme.

Supplied in a standard colour range, with custom finishes available on request. All finishing is carried out in-house by Townscape Products.
